OUR STORY
Some cities are carried in the skin. Granada is one of them: its horseshoe arches, its courtyards of water and jasmine, the echo of the Alhambra over the Albaicín, and that fruit which gives it its name, open, generous, full of life inside, which has fed legends, poems and long table talks for centuries.
La Granada GRX is born from that memory. Not as a copy, but as a translation: of a place charged with history, reinterpreted a thousand kilometres away, in Gran Canaria, with the Atlantic as witness.
It is luxury without gold.
It is tradition without nostalgia.
It is Granada, facing the sea.
We are not a traditional cuisine restaurant. Nor are we one that abandons its roots chasing the avant-garde. We are the exact point where both things meet.
We take the dish of always: the Sunday-afternoon bacalao remojón, the bar-counter patata brava, the seafood cooked with hands and patience, and we take it somewhere else. We don't disguise it: we distil it. A remojón becomes sheets of smoked cod over smoke oil, candied orange and a gel that recalls the oil of always but speaks a new language. A patata brava becomes a potato millefeuille bathed in chipotle red mojo, herb mojo and a yuzu mayonnaise that travels from Granada to Asia without losing its Andalusian accent.
Good product. Good technique. Market fish and Atlantic seafood over Josper coals, the best cuts of meat treated with the respect they deserve. No artifice for artifice's sake: every preparation has a reason to exist, every gesture in the kitchen pursues a single purpose: that the diner feels something.
Close your eyes, taste the dish, and recognise the flavour of always, even though nothing on the plate resembles what you remember.
Our emblem is born from the same fusion that defines the kitchen: the G of Granada takes the shape of the fruit, round, organic, generous, and inside it hides a Nasrid arch, Alhambra latticework carved into the letter itself. The pomegranate seeds, scattered with intention, remind us that inside every closed thing there is something alive waiting to open.
A space designed with the same philosophy as the kitchen: nothing is superfluous, everything has meaning. Tables dressed with restraint, warm light, glass walls open to the landscape, a bar that is as much a meeting point as a stage. Every detail, from the table runner to the glass that frames the view, discreetly carries the same spirit that gives the restaurant its name.
Behind every dish and every table, a shared purpose.
